Evolutions School of Dance & Ballet is accepting applications for ballet professionals to join our artistic team for the 2024/ 2025 dance season, in order to meet the demand of our expanding ballet programs.The ideal candidate will not only bring with them an understanding of highly technical ballet training, they will also love teaching children of all ages, and value connection and community. Individuals interested in this position will appreciate working in a collaborative and team environment, show keen interest in being mentored about the philosophies and practices of the studio, and are dedicated to developing their career as a dance educator.

Special consideration will be given to candidates who:

- Possess an Associate, Associate Diploma, or Licentiate Qualifications with Cecchetti Canada OR equivalent from another body such as, RAD OR ISTD. Attention will be given to candidates who are pursuing their qualifying examinations or have plans to and are looking for a supportive studio to help them reach this goal.
- Believe in a strengths based approach, and incorporate growth mindset, flexibility and a lifelong learning approach to their teaching.
- Value and understand the importance of age and developmentally appropriate methods of teaching.
- Thrive in a collaborative and supportive, team environment.
-Have previous experience teaching ballet to children ages 6+
- Have an interest to choreograph for and expand the YYC Dance Connected Nutcracker program

We are looking for experienced dance educators who are passionate about teaching children & youth and have a solid understanding of child development and age appropriate approaches to teaching to join our artistic team for the 2024/2025 dance season.⁣

~ Individuals who have training and/or certifications in the following areas will be considered in order to accommodate our growing enrollment: ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, modern, contemporary, hip hop, acrobatic dance, PBT.

~ The ideal candidate will not only bring with them a highly technical dance training and background in dance, they will also love teaching children of all ages, and believe in creating a safe and welcoming learning environment for all students.

~ Individuals interested in this position will value collaboration and teamwork, show keen interest in being mentored to grow within a supportive environment, and be committed to developing their career in dance education.
